Engine issue with an 09 Malibu

Asked by GuruHSHWT Jul 20, 2019 at 06:02 PM about the 2009 Chevrolet Malibu

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2009 Chevy malibu  with over 150,000 miles. I noticed some noise and
vibrations over the last few weeks. The check engine light has been on,  for a
fuel sensor issue. This morning I went to start it and it started, making a
horrible noise, than shut off.  After that it wouldn't start. I had it towed to a
garage but being the weekend I have to wait until Monday. I'm trying to get
some ideas as to what could be wrong with it

Depends on where the noise originated from? Was it from the serpentine belt area? It could be one of the pulleys seized.
