First time bus owner: distributor help needed

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Can someone please tell me where the 2 wires go from the bottom of the distributor?
I know one goes to the coil, but which side. The other? Also is it possible this 68
1600 has no regulator?

does the distributor have points or was it switched to electronic? you may not have a regulator if it has an alternator instead of a generator. most alternators have an internal regulator. thesamba.com is an awesome site to check out!
