Where is the inertia switch located in a 1977 Super beetle convertible 1600?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Jumpered the fuel pump and it works fine.  No power to pump with ignition on.  Checked
fuses and all are okay.  Where is inertia switch and can it be reset on this model?

Should be behind the passenger kick panel,in floor board,you will have to remove the kick panel.in front of door.

Found it! Upper drivers side corner underneath cardboard paneling right in front of cowling at same level as fuel tank. Underneath drivers side corner of the upper hood.

No relay, just the sensor to stop fuel flow in case of an accident.
