Just bought a old GMC 1991 v8 5.7L PICK UP ! i think i need new transmission ...

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When driving at 60km and higher ,tranmission is not shifting (i think)RPMs go up and feels really tight in the front end .I Have to keep on the gas or it wil bog out.Driving under 50 km everything seems to run fine ...do i need a new transmission or is it something cheaper that needs fixed and what type of transmission would be looking for ??
