Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just bought a used Ford Taurus. Lady said it ran
fine but I found out the same day that shes most
likely lying because out of nowhere, I'm trying to go
up a hill and as I accelerate I have no
power...sluggish... doesnt wanna go any faster and
when it finally did it felt like it shifted really hard.
Also the vehicle shakes while its idling and the idle
is at normal RPMs but it will jump around slightly
while idling. The shaking stops when I touch on the
gas and when I put the car in gear and accelerate.
I've heard that it might have water in the gas. It
SUPPOSEDLY sat for 3 months before I bought it.
I've heard that it could be misfiring. I've heard
several different things about the fuel system.
Anyone have any solid advice here? Help! :'(
