My 89 Trooper 2.6L 4 cyl has 159,000 miles on it. It runs great but after it warms up and I stop at intersections, the engine idles up and down between 1500 and 2000 rpms. Any ideas?

Several things can cause loping like that. egr valve stuck, timing, vacuum leak
