Did the ever make the 1992 GMC safari available with front-wheel options?

Hi,

My parents bought a GMC Safari (1992) in Toronto, ON. They say that the car has front-wheel drive. I can't find anywhere on the internet that says the Safari was available with a front-wheel drive option (only AWD or rear-wheel).
Can you clarify for me if it was available and where?

Safari was always rear wheel or all wheel, no FWD Safari.

There is no Safari with FWD. There is an AWD option but i don't think it was available that year.
