98 Ranger doesn't seem to be getting fuel.

Asked by May 08, 2017 at 12:33 PM about the 1998 Ford Ranger

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 98 Ranger. 2.4 engine. It starts fine. Sometimes it idles fine. If I give
gas it will rev up but almost immediately die back down to idle or stalls. If I
pump the gas rapidly it will rev back up but then dies back down. The in tank
fuel pump, filter, and relay are good. Anyone have a suggestion?
