Asked by Jun 05, 2019 at 03:26 PM about the 1993 GMC Sierra 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving up a hill, I stepped on the gas
and my truck stopped and then popped,
loudly, and then after that it drove just fine.
Does anyone know why it popped

Driving uphill is stressful on an engine. Maybe it finally blew out all that soot that had been clogging the catalytic converter.

The catalytic converter wasn't clogged that wasn't the issue but hopefully with anything was clogged it's no unclogged

As I said, was clogged.
