My anti theft light is on but it still starts 1998 ford explorer how do i turn it off

The battery was just replaced and the anti theft light came on about 100 miles
later . Ho s do i turn it off. Vehicle is. Starting fine but light is flashing.

Do you have the factory keyless code or your own code? If so then with keys in hand press 7/8 and 9/0 at the same time, you should hear all the doors lock, wait at least 3 minutes then use your code or the factory code to unlock the drivers door, get in and start the vehicle, that should reset it if everything is working correctly. If it still flashing then you may have a faulty door sensor but someone will need to check it over that knows this system.
