Just replaced my fuel pump on my 1998 ford explorer v8 5.0 it cranks but will not fire im a middlenaged women with very little income please some help me please

Replaced fuel pump on 1998 ford explore v8 5.0. Will crank hut wont fire

Did the parts store recommend a fuel pump relay also? Most fuel pump warranties require that the fuel pump relay and filter be replaced at the same time or they won't honor the warranty. Another thing to check is the fuel pump inertia switch, these are known failures of both the switch and the plug in going to them. You can use a simple 12 volt test light too see if the switch is transferring power through it.
