After replacing transmission it wont even turn over only makes a loud warning sound. What dide possibly miss when it was put back totogether ?

Warning like an alarm or 'whining' sound like the starter is spinning, but not catching flywheel? If you mean a whirring sound, some of those engines need shims to align the starter gear on Bendix. If that's not a typo and it is an alarm warning.. you don't say what engine
