Blown head gaskt and engine lock in 98 gmc Z71

Asked by Apr 28, 2018 at 08:20 PM about the 1998 GMC Sierra 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 98 gmc, and i think someone
purposely locked my engine up. There isn’t
anything wrong with the truck it’s a good
dependable ride , no signs of anything
messing up etc.. i had went to drive my
truck, when i drove it down the road it went
out on me.  So i had it checked my oil and
it was a coffe creamer type.. but not only
my head had blown but my engine locked
up all at once, i didn’t have no sighns of
my truck messing up. Is there anyway
someone could have purposely made my
truck do that.? Is it possiable for someone
to put something in my truck to blow my
head gasket and lock my engine up all at
once.? It’s just weird how my head blown
and my engine locked up all at once.

It can't happen all at once. It overheated causing your head to blow, then through continuing to drive it, your coolant mixed in with your oil through that blown head, causing it to turn a milky color along with making your oil useless in lubricating your engine, and then without proper lubrication, your engine locked up. It will happen surprisingly when you fail to check your oil coolant level, and never watch your oil pressure and temperature gauge when driving

So, more than likely someone could have messed my truck up.? Rather than the truck just somehow have these problems.?

I always make sure to check my fluids and change my oil because of this reason.

That can't happen through sabotage. It happens by failed water pump, failed thermostat, over revving (provided it hadn't thrown a rod), not running factory recommended coolant and/or mixture, or low coolant level
