1998 gmc savana 5.7 L The van ran fine then won't stay running after restart more than 1 sec.had a repair shop look at it 1 year ago for the same problem. seems the computer forgets how to run

The van was reprogramed & codes cleared ayear ago ran fine for a year then now forgot how to run again ... What is causing this ?

Is the vehicle antitheft lock 'light' on ? Sounds like either the passkey module, wiring or BCM may have a failure. We could program that out for you. www.ecmprogrammer.com
