engine light came on, catalytic converter?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Engine light, mechanical diagnosis catalytic converter, just as they closed
shop for xmas break. Approx repair $400 for part plus labour. Is there more
than 1 reason/solution for this code on thier diagnostic computer ?

We don't have your code, but if they say it is the catalytic converter, you must be experiencing hesitation, engine holding back, not able to cruse over 50 mph without the engine laboring, you have these things happening then it would be the cat. getting plugged up & need replacing.
