Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car drives well until it warms up.
Once it warms up it still changes fine from 1st to 2nd, then 2nd to 3rd (once warm this isnt too often) and then drives as if i am in neutral. for example i would be driving going 60kms/hr and the engine is revving to 5 then 80kms/hr almost redlining. you could imagine 100kms/hr.
Does anyone know what this could be and how to fix it?
will i need to service it or buy a new one?

and if anyone knew what type of trans it is too

cheers
