Truck stays in four wheel drive low after just riding in four wheel drive high

Did you have it in Neutral with foot on the brake when you tried shifting it out of 4 low?

I have a 2008 Ford Ranger that I put into 4 Wheel Dr. now I can’t get it out of four-wheel-drive.
