I have a 99 Ford Explorer 2dr v6 4.0. and for some reason, i have a noise that comes from the bottom side of the engine when i accelerate. is a mix of slirping and a slipping/ scraping. idk what it is.. but i lose a little power when it does that. also when it has set for a while, like 2 or three hours, when i start it, it takes a good 2 1/2 min to build up oil pressure.

have you checked your oil level ? low oil level could cause that
yeah. i have plenty of oil, and im actually about to change it monday... thats my marker. i just don't understand... lol no offense to anyone, but this is literally the worse vehicle i have ever had....
From my limited experience, it sounds like something might be stuck on the pickup... I hate to say it, but You may want to pull your oil pan off to inspect when you do that oil change. I think you'll only need RTV black and no gasket for the pan on your vehicle, but double check before taking it off. Hopefully that helps...

The cam bearings are getting worn preventing oil from getting to the rocker arms......I'll bet if you pull off the valve covers you'll find at least one pushrod and one rocker arm worn badly......maybe several Very common in the Cologne engines (OHV)
sounds like the oil pump is shot,you should have it replaced before you blow your motor.this engine is well known for bad oil pumps.
if it is a manual trans, it could be a release bearing, or thr clutch disc is worn, and rivets scrapping fly wheel
