Ford Explorer Speakers

Asked by Tiny3063 Mar 06, 2019 at 06:34 PM about the 1999 Ford Explorer

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I listen to music, and my car is in tape
mode, the music only comes out of one
speaker. If I try listening to the radio in fm or
am mode, both speakers work perfectly. Can
anyone identify what might be causing this?
Thanks

You say you are in TAPE mode but are you actually listening to a tape? If so, the unit might have lost its ability to read one track of the tape and needs repair (if you can find anyone to work on a tape unit). You may find it easier to replace the whole unit.
