2005 GMC SIERRA 1500 4X4 FRT DISK / REAR DRUM
I PUT NEW PADS,ROTORS,CALPIERS AND RUBBER LINES IN TODAY AND
NOW IT FEELS LIKE THE BRAKES ARE HUNG UP WTF. THE TRUCK
COMES TO A STOP EVEN WHEN NOT ON THE PEDAL. WHAT COULD THIS
If ALL calipers are hanging up, the problem is with the master cylinder. If it's just one, it is likely still a bad brake line.
If the pads have shims remove them and see if that frees it up, I've gotten pads that were too thick before. Also make sure the pads will move relatively easy in the bracket with the anti- rattle clips installed, I've also received pads where the "fingers" or "ears" that slide in the bracket where too big (had too apply way to much force to install) and had to be ground down
Found the problem it was not the front ,it ended up being the rear drums ,drivers side fell apart. when i took the drum off out fell 1 shoe and a bunch of pieces of the other shoe as well as all the hardware fell out onto the ground and the drum had a crack in it
Wow that sucks but glad you found the problem! Thanks for reporting back
