This has a module in behind the switch for the 4x4. I have replaced several for this concern. You will have to take it out and match the # to get a new one.

Yes,pull the switch and it is in behind down inside. It can be a bugger to change.

alright well I just polled my whole dash apart on the driver side and all I could see was an empty space I didn't see any modules

It is still there in the same spot but hard to see. Crawl under the dash and look back UP towards the firewall. It's not very big. It receives signal from the switch to engage the transfer motor.

is it possible to show a picture because I just got under the dash and there was a lot of wires and stuff lol and I tried to fallow the wires from the switch to the wherever but I couldn't find anything

It is there, just harder than heck to see and get to. Look down in the dash on the left side and you can see just the edge of it.Look towards the door but down in the dash.
