car sat for over a year ran fine before now it cranks but won't start. yes have gas new battery

Many problems with leaving an old car sit for awhile- one of the usual suspects is the gas- modern gas with ethanol will start gumming up after only sitting for a few months- try changing the fuel filter- then try swapping the gas for some fresh fuel- you may want to get someone else to do this because modern motor fuel is extremely carcinogenic- if you breath it, or get a little on your skin-

Do you have a CEL? If not..... Did you check for spark? If so...... Did you check for fuel pressure? Have you checked the fuel itself to make sure it didn't go bad?
