Automatic Alhambra locking itself down into first gear. What is the problem?

Asked by SandemanBrussels Apr 18, 2013 at 09:14 AM

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My SEAT Alhambra (same as VW Sharan) 1.9Di automatic suddenly flipped into first
gear and revved like crazy. First time I turned engine off and the problem disappeared,
second time it seemed to be locked in first revving like mad and had to be towed.
Garage says it is a contacts problem and that I need part 7M3713203e-mcu - does this
make sense? Under useless warranty. Have waited 11 weeks so far for part to be
manufactured!!! Enclose page from diagnostics. Please help!
