Electrical Problem cranks but won't start

Hi. I have a 2007 Ford bantam rocam
engine. It cranks but won't start. I discovered
that the computer box was replace with a
bigger box which is for cars pre 2007. I did
some research and changed the flywheel to
match the computer box. I used a 36-1 tooth
flywheel as advise. The car still cranks but
won't start. I have spark and fuel. I moved
the starter solenoid wire away from the
crank sensor wire to avoid induced voltage. I
also have spark and fuel, but the fuel only
come when cranking. Should I get fuel
pressure when the is on the on position?

When you switch the ignition to ON, you will hear the 'click' from the fuel pump relay. It will switch the fuel pump ON for about two seconds and the switch off. Check the Impact switch button is pressedc in to the 'Click' position. Check the Power Hold relay. Check the temisnals they plug into under the Junction Box that non of these terminals have been poshed out under neath. Also check that you have the correct Crank Angle Sensor for the Older level computer box. (Check the part numbers are correct.

Thanks Guru97FK8. The pump relay does not click with key on the "on" position. I will double check the wiring. I bought a crank sensor for the 2007 model from Ford. I will have to get another sensor for the older box. I didn't know that they were different. Thanks again.

Thank you for the diagrams. They were a great help. I think the problem is the PCM and Crankshaft position sensor mismatch. The PCM is part no. 1S6D-12A650-AB which is for Pre 2007 models based on your previous posts. The crankshaft angle position sensor is part no. 948F 6C 315 AA. I'm guessing that this sensor is for models after 2006 since Ford gave me this sensor as a I told them that I have a 2007 model. Now if I get the sensor Pre 2007 will the car start without making changes to the PCM since the PCM is for 1.6 and I have a 1.3 Engine. Thanks

Cranks but not starting Cranks, but does not start. The starter solenoid wire is running in the same channel as the crank angle sensor. When the starter solenoid is energized this induces a higher voltage into the crank angle sensor wiring. Move this solenoid wire out of the crank angle sensor wiring channel. Check the condition of the main starter cable from the battery to the starter. Clean the terminals and the amperage draw on this cable. Check the earth cable from the battery negative to the body and fit an extra earth cable from the battery Neg terminal to the gearbox.
