Fuel consumption of my Ford Bantam

Hi Guys, my Ford Bantam 1.3 rocam consume petrol like a camel drinking after a long journey, what could be the problem, I had replaced the oxygen sensors after the mechanic diagnostics

Causes of poor fuel economy are frequently, a clogged air filter and/or catalytic converter, a defective EGR and/or PCV valve, dirty fuel injectors and/or MAF sensor. Might even be sticking brakes. Have the car diagnosed by a GOOD mechanic.

If the oxygen senor is replace, the might or might not be fault codes. Using diagnostic test equipment, clear the fault codes. Make sure the spark plug gaps are set at 1.00mm. Check that the thermostat is operating correctly.
