The crank angle sensor is located by the fly wheel. Has the engine been replaced at any time ? The Fly wheel for the 2007 onwards is slightly different from the earlier engines , as this engine has 26 minus two teeth , compaired with the earlier engine which has 36 minus ONE teeth as a pick up for the crank angle sensor.

nothing done on the engine, the car overheated, then i replaced head gasket but the temperature gauge still shows that the engine is overheating.

i have checked crank sensor an its ok but theres still no power supply to the coil pack, only the common wire is responding, the other two wires dead

The center wire to the coil pack is the live, There should be an ignition 12volt power supply there. The two outside terminals are both feeds to the Computer Box (PCM). these two are earthed at a frequancy through the PCM. The ignition power to the center pin on the coild pack will be the same as the power to the injectors. Check for open circuit between the Coild pack and the PCM.

thanks, where is the PCM situated in this vehicle and which relay or fuse is responsible for frequency to the coil?

The PCM is located on the left side 'A' Pillar, Right side under the dash. I would strongley recomend you take your vehicle to a reputable Auto Electrician or a RMI approved vehicle service outlet or vehicle repairer.

I have a 2007 Ford Bantam Rocam engine, the car starts ok, idle for about 2minutes or more and thereafter suddenly cuts off. I've replaced the coil pack (non-genuine) and leads but still faced with the problem of sudden engine cutoffs while idling. Please help.

Check the harness plug at the computer box. It could have water leaking into it.

Check the spark plug gaps. They should be 1.00mm. Chech the coil and the HT Leads.
