my power steering pump mkesa noise, can this be due to brushes or what can it be?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

wen you start the engine, once it cranks the power steering pump makes a noise similar to something that needs new brushes. It used to stop if you steer to the right or the left but now it just keeps on making the noise.

Have you checked the fluid level? If fluid level is okay you may need a replacement power steering pump.
