I’m wanting to buy a Ford Bantam 1.8 Diesel
engine and I just wanna find out if there’s
common known problems with the bakkie
before I buy

Generally these engines from my experiance are quite reliable. To my way of thinking, OK for short trips. A bit tiring for longer trips. It does not have a turbo charger like the newer 1400 TDCi.

Can someone please tell me if bantam rocam alternator will fet on diesel 1.8 bantam rocam

No it won't fit. The Escort or Mondeo Diesel Alternator would be the closest. I would rather get an Auto Electrician to repair yours.
