With the ignition timing on this 1600 Bantam, the Spec is normally about 10 deg, I've always set then at 12 Deg. This is the Mazda F6 engine. Its best to use a strobe timing light at idle speed of 750 RPM. Loosen the Distributor and move it while the engine is at idle. Face the strobe so it shines onto the 12 deg mark on the crank pulley and adjust the dist till the mark on the crankshaft lines up with thee 12 deg mark, then lock the dist bolt
