Question type: Maintenance & Repair

.was wondering if you could shed some light on my problem.i honestly dont
know much about motors...i drive a 1990 dodge ramcharger ....its got the
318 motor in it. its got the throttle body fuel injection on sure u already
knew that :) ..but anyway it started out close to the end of go out
start the truck and let it warm up for about 15 min.the one day i went out
and it had stopped running.started right up and away it went.then did it
again a few days later.i found about a week later it did it while i went to
leave my driveway .it bogged right down and tried to stall on me..i gave it
throttle and it was really sick sounding. popped the hood and took the filter
off the top of fuel injectors .it was still at this time running like shit,so i
played around a little bit and found if i tapped the plastic top on the
injectors it would rev high then relax back to normal mode.and id be able to
drive it...well in the past few weeks its done it more then a few
running without the filter on it for now since im only making short trips with
the truck.but when it does it i have to get out lift hood and tap either on the
injectors or there is a what looks like a little motor or piston that drives or
controls the butterflies ..if i tap it the motor will then idle mid -high for a few
sec then drop back to normal and i can drive it again..also when it boggs
no matter how much throttle i give it,there is no torque to the engine
sounds to me like its not getting enough fuel .i checked the fuel pump and
its working fine.someone told me its that lil black metal pump or idle control
thing hooked to the butterflies.i prob made this question much harder then

there might be a question in there....would hazard to say that the below freezing temperatures may make things get "frozen" until a few miles are put onto the vehicle~ no butterflies ...just a electric goodie on yours ~
