Alarm system.? the factory stereo. Is it wired to engine controls. my friend cut her factory. stereo out. now the thing bearly runs. is this a coincidence or is this factoy prancksters..

what do you mean cut it out?? she cut the harness?? if not plug that radio back in and see if it runs right,, but I cant see any reason that it wouldn't run right with out the radio,, unless she blew a fuse when she "cut it out"

never cut your harness just buy an adapter harness its theee easiest way to hook up a new head unit

Hi.. and thank u for helpin me out. iam the one with this problem.. i know how this sounds. factory stereo poor engine performance.? I ran into this problem with a 92 dodge pickup with a factory alarm system and factory stereo . when unpluged it to would not start.. i thought it must hav somthing to do with the anti theft

make sure you have no live wires touching metal from radio wire's this can cause a power drain from ignition.

I bought a stealth that may have same problem. Some one put different stereo in to it, the car will not turn over and l wonder if this may cause this to happen. When l got car it cranked over a shortly after it quit turning over
