Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2000 ford ranger will not idle for some reason. Each time i let off the gas and let it idle it dies. i have to push the gas pedal i little bit to even get it started.  I have replaced a sensor for that.  any other ideas would be very helpful thanks

bad throttle position sensor, clean the IAC with carb cleaner, could also be a cloged up cat converter.

could also be a bad fuel pump, mine 92 did that when it went bad, had a short in the fuel pump, replaced it and problems went away, sensors are a cheaper first thing to check though
