No power up hill

My 91 dodge Dakota starts up runs & drives BUT
hardly has any power!!! Barley will pull up a hill!!!!
What could this be????

If I feather the gas pedal it does pretty good, but no power up hill, but when I push it to the floor it falls on it's face. I got the truck on trade, the truck sat for 2 years in a field. I put gas in it and started right up in that field!

I'm going to try buying fuel filter & fuel pump, I'm pretty sure it's needing a fuel pump
