Back up lamps

Asked by Jul 20, 2019 at 07:17 PM about the 1993 Dodge Dakota

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My back up lamps do not work and the fuse
is good. I looked at the fuse and tested it
with a test. Both back up lamps have been
changed with new ones and they do not
work. What would be the next step?

If it's an automatic transmission I'd suspect the neutral safety switch. The neutral safety switch also turns on the reverse lights when you shift into reverse. Hope that helps! Jim
