Question type: Maintenance & Repair

truck won't start doesn't have fire from coil, tested for power to coil, with test light, have power to both wires. tested for power at auto shutoff relay. pulled relay and it had power on all contacts. Is this normal? was going to replace coil but I didn't want to burn up a new one if there was another problem. can anyone help me figure this out? I'm trying to help an elderly couple with no transportation and very little income
