gear oil

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

what type of gear oil

1 Answer

195

Manual tranny: Mopar MS 9417, not engine oil or gear lube. Drain and fill up until it starts coming out of the fill plug. Auto slush-box: Mopar ATF Plus 3 type 7176 or Mopar Dexron III or higher. Fill with engine running and tranny in park until the dipstick reads full. Do not drain; for replacement take it to a shop to do a flush.
