1997 dodge dakota spark problem
I have a 1997 dodge dakota that i have replaced the distibutor cap and rotor
button, pick up module in cap, coil, crank position sensor, and ecm and it still
will not start. It has no spark at all has anyone else had this problem? Any
suggestion's on what it might be?
Battery has a full charge? Did you check primary voltage to ignition coil, dark green wire with orange tracer, use a test light, engine cranking. That voltage comes from asd relay. The asd relay supplies voltage to several systems, ignition coil and fuel injectors, just to name a couple. I'm not saying the relay is faulty, at the moment, I don't know. Any applicable trouble codes? Some of these vehicles, the computer has to see both the cam and crank sensor signals or it may not ground the asd relay. As far as sensors, I usually want to check sensor wiring circuits before replacing anything.
You got to be grounded. Or have a broken wire somewhere in harness.
Timing belt/chain? Rotor turning?
