i have a 98 rt dakota. is there a manule tranny that will work in this truck?

There used to be a company that made a bell housing conversion kit to mount the 6 speed viper tranny onto the RT. But they dont make the kit anymore. The best you can do is a five speed with variable ratios. You can pick whether you want high top speeds, or off the line gears. If you are interested I can get you the website. I own a 2000 RT.

Actually the kit from Keisler Engineering is back on the market.... http://www.dakota-durango.com/forum/showthread.php?t=90733 Other than that a stock 5spd from a 5.2 or 3.9 truck with bolt right on to your 5.9. The gearing in it isn't meant for racing tho...
