dodoge neon engine/tranny swap

i would stay with a 95-99 DOHC auto (the DOHC motor was discontinued after 99) but a 2000-05 SOHC auto would bolt right up

though i do not know about any wiring harness differences, i would investigate that if you plan to use a newer engine/trans

the only way to get a DOHC for a 2nd gen is if you go SRT4 for 03 to 05, but that takes alot of work and money but for info on anything neon, http://forums.neons.org/ they have all the topics you can think of for a neon and will help you answer any questions you have.

allow me to fix the meaning behide this one, the only way to get a DOHC from a 2nd Gen

one thing to watch out for is the sensors, 95, 96, 97-99 are differ between year i have run into this problem with my 96. so becareful. try and make sure you get a 97-99 if you get one for a scrap yard.

A 2nd gen will not work.
