I put a fuel pump on my 2000 dodge caravan now it will not start. Can you help?
The line broke. I fixed the line. Then after I stopped the leak the van would not
start. I replaced the fuel pump. Now it STILL will not start.
Test the following: crank sensor, camshaft sensor and fuel pump relay and fuses relating to fuel. I just read that there is not a fuel cutoff switch or inertia switch on your year and model caravan.
Have you tested for power back at the new pump?
make sure new pump is getting power. also test to see if you have fuel pressure at the rail and power at injectors. try starting it with starter fluid spray to eliminate a bunch of other stuff. if it starts with the spray then you know that your pump is not sending fuel wich you can confirm by testinf pressure at the fuel rail. or that you have a clogged fuel filter or bad or clogged injectors . check all fuses and relays related to fuel first though. look up under to make sure no leak. it is rare but you may also justr be dealing with vapor lock as well. give the starter fluid a try and go from there. hope this helps
