Check all the battery and ground cables. Sounds like you may have a thermally sensitive connection somewhere. It is possible it is the battery. If the battery is 5 years old or older I would replace it with a new one. With engine running measure the voltage at the battery, it should be 13.8 to 14.6 volts. If lower than 13.8 have the alernator tested and check it's connections.
