Battery/check engine light issues on a 2001 Dodge stratus.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So the battery light came on our 2001 dodge stratus. After some looking under the hood with my father (Family mechanic) we found the alternator did not spin freely so we replaced it. Well the battery light has been jumping on randomly, along with a voltage engine light code. The voltage is checking out fine at the battery and the alternator. Thought last night my wife said it did get to 14.8 at the alternator, usually it is around 14 when the light goes on. All the wires are tight, and seem fine from any "breakage". Does anybody have any idea on it? I have heard it could be the PCM but, I also read those are rare to go out.

Side note, the last 2 days my wife says once in a while a random dash lights will flicker for a second.
