fuel problems i think

Asked by Jul 11, 2018 at 05:36 AM about the 2001 Dodge Neon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Good Morning
i have a neon 2001, when i fill her up, she would go for more than a hundred
killometers with no problem, then on a restart of the engine the fuel gauge
will drop, the car will then splutter & have a lower idling than normal & when
u pull away it won't go above 1500rpm, this would carry on for about 1.5km,
then she is back to normal, the strange part is there are no codes indicating
there is a fault, please can you help, took it to a few mechanics, they say
intermittent fault without a code is hard to locate, thanks' Mike
