I'm gettin a P0340 code how do I tell if it's the sensor or something worse like timing belt ectt

And does anyone know where the cam sensor is located on a 2001 dodge neon?? Also does anyone know where the cam sensor is located on a 2002 dodge neon& if they are the same sensor?? (Cause I drive the 2001 , but I also have a 2002 neon that I use for parts) which most parts are identical but I've run into a few instances where they were changed on the 2002(like the park neutral& torque converter wire harness on the 2001) The 2002 is a complete different design compared to the 2001! Doge redid it&if away with the harness in 2002!
