Vin location on engine

Vega 4cyl

Many GMs of that time period had a VIN derivative stamped on the front face of the block. You can get a factory shop manual that will show you exactly where to look. Faxon Auto Literature in Riverside, California will most likely have a reasonably priced reprint for you. They have a website. I've bought from there. Good quality stuff! HTH. -Jim
