Car stuck in first gear and idling high

I was driving down the road and hit a big bump and
every since then my car will not go out of first gear
and at idle high at lights

Get under the car to see what you was damaged, maybe the linkage to the transmission or fluid is leaking out? Have a shop put it on the lift to inspect it.
