My 2001 Ford Taurus theft light keeps blinking it just
started car starts up it only blinks when shut off why would
that hsppen

It is warning thieves that you have a theft alarm system. Don't touch this or the alarm will sound.

Thank you for the answer but I don't have an alarm I say wit ignition turned all the way before actually cranking to start for 10 minutes still blinking will it drain my battery?

That should only be a small LED light and it can blink for two weeks before it thinks of draining your battery

And your car at night year probably does have an alarm system that will drive you crazy at certain times
