1983 GMC Sierra Classic steering column swap

I have a 1983 GMC Sierra Classic and I want to swap it to a 1984 GMC sierra Classic
steering column,  would it be possible for it to work since 83's and 84's have different
steering columns?

Yes it is possible and bolt right in, however you will have to swap a few wiring harnesses around.

Should I get a new wiring harness or can the original one do the trick
