Is the engine timed correctly? Both ignition and cam timing?

Are the plug wires in the correct place on the distributor cap?

What was all included with the new distributor? The Ignition Control Module, the Coil Pick-up, the coil? But as Bob mentioned, you may have a timing issue, or a firing order issue. If you did not mark the distributor rotor location before taking out the old distributor, It would be possible the distributor is not planted correctly.
