my 89 c1500 step side has tail lights that stay on until you turn the switch on then they go off...the fronts work correctly..what the heck could be the issue

truck has had a 99 escalade front clip put on it..also air ride suspension....only had it for three weeks and have spent 100 hours rewiring a lot of crap on air ride and other things...  but these rear lights are kicking my butt...if you have ideas   I would love to hear them

Sounds like you may have the wiring backwards going to the tail lights,
